Situated on the banks of the River Oglio, Incudine is one of the smallest districts in Val Camonica. It extends across rich pasture land and woods of Conifer trees, larch trees and Fir trees which cover the sides of the mountain.
There is lots on offer to help you enjoy you time here, even just walking through the numerous street in the village. Not to be missed is the Sanctuary of S Vito and Santa Anna: situated at 1877m it can be found on the edge of a large basin at the foot of corno di Piazza, surrounded by Larch and Pine trees and rhododendrum bushes. It is a very ancient sanctuary originally dating back to the 14th century, the current construction dates from the 1700’s. It consists of two parts, the church and the sacristy: on the front there is a small bell and inside there are numerous votive offerings to saints (ex-voto) and the statues of Santa Anna and San Vito and the presbytery contains other works of art.
One of the most interesting and striking parts of this community is its northern edge: the Val Andrina, Pianaccio and Monte Pagano. This area is easily reached by crossing the road from Monno which goes up to Mortirolo and on to Pianaccio: this area is one of the most beautiful in the Val Camonica.
