SAFETY -FIRST AND FOREMOST

Even though this sport is open to everyone, it is of course of upmost importance to be prepared athletically and also, possibly with the help of a local alpine guide, to be aware of the responsibility both to oneself and also to others.

Having the correct equipment is absolutely vital in case of emergencies: ARVA, a shovel, a probe, a mobile phone, a helmet and a map.
Always read the latest bulletins regarding avalanches and weather conditions before every outing.
Never venture off-piste alone: the reason for this is that no-one would be able to help or locate you in the case of an accident. Often in the mountains a telephone signal is unreliable or non-existent.
