The Noce River: among the best in the world for rafting
The Noce originates from the glaciers of the Ortles-Cevedale Group and flows through Val di Sole and Val di Non before reaching the Adige River. In its most tempestuous stretch, it features rapids ranging from grade 3 to 5 on a scale of 6, alternating with calmer sections where you can drift with the current and enjoy the scenery. Its fame extends far beyond Trentino: in 2013, National Geographic listed the Noce River among the top ten rivers in the world for rafting — the only European waterway to make the ranking. A recognition that clearly illustrates why these waters have become an international benchmark destination for rafting enthusiasts.
Centro rafting in Val di Sole
Despite its reputation as an extreme sport, rafting on the Noce River is an experience truly suitable for everyone: groups of friends, adventurers, families and children aged 6 and over, with routes of varying difficulty to choose from. You step aboard the rafts — reinforced 6-person inflatable boats — wearing the wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid provided by the centre. On board, the instructor guides the group during the descent and signals when to paddle, pause or brace for a good splash.
