P15 Temù - Vione

An easy, sunny walk along the path that connects Temù with Vione, passing the ancient church of S. Alessandro. The views of the Adamello mountains and Avio valley opposite are spectacular. It is a short walk which could well be combined with a visit to the two villages and the “Museo della Guerra Bianca” World War 1 museum in Temù, one of the best in Italy.

From the main road in Temù  near the town hall “municipio” in the centre, go uphill to the parish church of S.Bartolomeo. From here take the road to the left of it, Via Valenti then Via Mulini.

From these pretty alleyways (where there is an outdoor sculpture display in the summer) you will come out onto the main asphalted road to Molina and Lecanù. Continue to go uphill, taking Via Bertolini, Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via Molina.

Once you get to Molina (15 minutes), take a left turn marked “Chiesa di S.Alessandro”. Continue, enjoying wonderful views, through fields and woods to the rural church of S.Alessandro (1230m - 30 minutes).

The church has a bell tower dating back to the 14th Century.

The path becomes narrower, and passes through woods, a small valley and stream, arriving at the first houses of Vione. After a short uphill stretch on the asphalted road you arrive at the church of S.Remigio (1246m – 40 minutes approx.). Vione is an attractive village to visit and has a museum of Etnography called Museo Etnografico dell’Alta Valle Camonica ‘LZuf.

Return to Temù (where you will find the World War 1 museum) by the same route (30 minutes approx.)
