5/8/2025

After winning the Leone d’argento at the Venice Film Festival and coming very close to an Oscar in Hollywood, Maura Delpero's film, shot entirely in Vermiglio, in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area, returns to Italy and wins seven awards.

The David di Donatello awards ceremony, which is celebrating its 70th edition and is considered the Italian equivalent of the Oscars, took place on Wednesday, May 7th. The jury is made up of about a thousand members, including nominees, winners, and experts in culture and entertainment. The seven awards were given to Vermiglio for: Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Producer, Best Cinematography, Best Sound and Best Casting.

We are very proud of these results, which have helped bring Vermiglio and our beautiful mountains to the attention of the world. We sincerely thank director Maura Delpero and the children and people from Vermiglio who brought the characters of the film to life.
