In view of the peak summer season and to ensure maximum safety for all hikers, the Municipality of Ponte di Legno has established a mandatory one-way system for the Sentiero dei Fiori (Mayor's Ordinance No. 14 dated 24/07/2026).

From August 1st to August 30th, the following regulations will come into effect for this famous high-altitude itinerary:

• 🔄 Mandatory One-Way System (Clockwise): The Sentiero dei Fiori must be hiked exclusively in a clockwise direction, starting from Passo Lagoscuro (accessible from Passo Presena at an altitude of 3,000 meters) and ending at Passo Castellaccio.

• ⛔ Prohibition of Reverse Direction: It is strictly forbidden to hike the route in the opposite direction (from Passo Castellaccio towards Passo Lagoscuro).

• 🪖 PPE Requirement: We remind you of the strict requirement to use specific personal protective equipment for via ferratas (harness, certified via ferrata set, and helmet), as this route is classified as EEA (Difficult/Expert Hikers).

This ordinance has been deemed necessary to prevent dangerous crossings and traffic jams at the narrowest and most exposed passages.

We remind you that at the Paradiso ticket office, located at Passo Tonale, you can purchase the "Sentiero dei Fiori" ticket, which includes a round-trip on the Paradiso gondola and a single ride on the Presena gondola. Please check the lift timetables carefully and plan your return journey accordingly to avoid getting stranded after closing time. The Paradiso gondola operates until September 20th, opening at 8:30 AM and closing at 4:45 PM (opening at 8:00 AM from August 8th to August 23rd, and closing at 5:45 PM until August 30th), while the Presena gondola, also operating until September 20th, closes at 5:15 PM until August 30th (and subsequently at 6:15 PM).
