TrekkingA medium-difficult guided loop hike of about 17.5 km with a total elevation gain of 670 m, leading to the Strino lakes and the Città Morta, starting from Passo Tonale. The route crosses World War I trenches and fortifications, such as Forte Zaccarana, until reaching the Strino Valley and the alpine lakes of Strino Inferiore and Superiore, which enjoy a unique panoramic view of the Presanella, Trentino's highest peak. On the way back, an optional detour to visit the Città Morta.

The excursion is suitable for hikers and good walkers, requiring good physical fitness and a decent level of training. The itinerary is not suitable for strollers and/or wheelchairs.
It is necessary to bring snacks, water, and a packed lunch, as there are no mountain huts along the itinerary.
We recommend bringing trekking gear: a backpack, rain jacket, fleece, long pants, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, hiking poles, and hiking boots or similar footwear.
In case of bad weather, the activity is guaranteed.
